   Here's the correct way Adam Clayton plays the song.
   Tune down 1/2 step
  
   Main riff:

   You can choose to play it with or without the slides, personnaly I prefer 
   to play it with the slides. It sounds very cool. In live performances Adam
   plays it with slides.

   There are slight variations to the chorus during the beginning of the song
   and before The Edge's guitar solo. These variations are

  I had a look at the version of new year's day that you have posted.  I 
  tried playing while the song was playing, and it doesn't seem right.  
  I'll post some corrections to you with this message.  Tell me what you
